Un reglamento destructivo

Sobre la base de la traumática separación de las familias en la frontera, el gobierno de Trump quiere impedir que las familias inmigrantes tengan un futuro seguro y permanente en los Estados Unidos y evitar que accedan a los programas de atención médica y de nutrición y vivienda.

Favorece a los ricos

Nuestras vidas deben definirse por cómo contribuimos a nuestras comunidades, no por nuestro aspecto físico o cuánto dinero tenemos. Si este reglamento avanza, la oportunidad para construir un futuro en los Estados Unidos estaría disponible solo a los inmigrantes más ricos. Este reglamento es parte del esfuerzo continuo de la administración Trump para dividir el país y denigrar a los inmigrantes.

Pone a millones de personas en riesgo

El reglamento propuesto haría (y ya ha hecho) que las familias inmigrantes teman buscar programas que apoyen sus necesidades básicas. La propuesta podría impedir que los inmigrantes utilicen programas sustentados en parte por sus contribuciones tributarias, impidiendo el acceso a alimentos saludables y nutritivos y a viviendas seguras. Debido a que uno de cada cuatro niños estadounidenses tiene al menos un padre inmigrante, esto podría afectar a millones. Nos convirtiera en una nación más enferma, más pobre y más hambrienta.
